PicoWay laser works by targeting unwanted pigment in ultrashort picosecond pulses. These pulses shatter the pigment into tiny particles which are then safely, naturally and easily eliminated by the body. The PicoWay laser works by using a photo acoustic laser which emits minimal heat energy making it safer and more tolerable and comfortable than traditional lasers, with fewer side effects.
PicoWay laser is effective in treating the following:
PicoWay is specially designed to target particular pigments and depths, making it the superior laser for tattoo removal Gold Coast. It is also one of the only lasers that is safe to use on all skin types and tones from very light to very dark. This procedure can be completely pain free with the use of local anaesthetic.
Depth:
Ink is injected into the dermis, below the skin, making harder to remove.
Ink particle size:
Larger ink particles are harder to remove. Traditional laser tattoo removal can be used to shatter ink particles making them easier for the body to remove, however, the remaining ink particles are often still too big, even after multiple treatments.
Colour:
Blue and black pigment are easy to treat, other colours such as reds and yellows can be difficult to remove.
Skin tone:
Darker skin tones are harder to treat with other lasers. This leads to reduced effectiveness while increasing the risk of injury. Picoway can treat all skin types and tones.
PicoWay offers faster, better results for every different skin type.
Faster treatments: With its ultra-fast, concentrated, high-power energy delivery, PicoWay will shatter ink particles of any size making it easier for the body to remove them.
Minimal risk: PicoWay’s ultra-short pulses, offer precise targeting of the tattoo’s ink, maximising its effectiveness while ensuring that the heat transferral to the skin tissue is kept to a minimum.
Minimal discomfort: Due to PicoWay’s faster pulses and low heat, you’ll feel minimal discomfort throughout the procedure.
How PicoWay tattoo removal Gold Coast works
Yes! PicoWay offers better results for all skin types. It can be used to treat Fitzpatrick 1-6.
The effectiveness of the treatment depends on multiple factors including; the age of the tattoo, location, depth, size, and type of tattoo. All tattoos will require a minimum of 6 treatments for optimal results.
During your initial consultation, the laser is applied to your skin to identify the best possible treatment. Once the treatment procedure has finished, an ice pack may be applied to the treated skin, to help alleviate any mild pain. In some cases, an antibiotic lotion may be used. In the few days immediately following treatment, it’s important that the treated area is not scrubbed or cleansed with any strong skin lotions.
The level of irritation experienced is different for each patient and is also dependent on the region of the body that the tattoo is located.
The PicoWay laser focuses exclusively upon the treated area, leaving adjacent skin tissue unharmed.
Following the treatment, some patients may develop a temporary blemish or reddishness of the skin tissue surrounding the treated area. There may also be a lightening of the tissue, upon the treatment, which is also temporary. In most cases, the skin will quickly return to its natural colour.
